HyGo has announced a new three-year partnership with Athletics Ireland, becoming the organisation’s official hydration partner.
The agreement brings together one of Ireland’s most ambitious home-grown water brands with the national governing body for athletics, supporting athletes, clubs, coaches and communities across the country.
Hydration plays a vital role in athletic preparation, performance and recovery. Athletes are extremely conscious of what they put into their bodies, knowing that achieving their best requires high-quality training, nutrition, recovery and hydration.
HyGo is a great-tasting Irish spring water produced by Borrisoleigh Bottling Limited in County Tipperary. The partnership with Athletics Ireland reflects the brand’s commitment to active lifestyles, personal wellbeing and supporting Irish sport from grassroots participation through to elite competition.
As part of the three-year agreement, HyGo will work closely with Athletics Ireland across events, competitions, athlete activity, digital content and community initiatives. The partnership will help ensure that athletes and participants have access to high-quality Irish spring water while also building greater awareness of the importance of hydration at every level of sport.
A key part of the partnership will be HyGo’s Tetra Pak format, offering consumers a convenient and more sustainable packaging option.
The cartons are designed for modern, active lifestyles and provide an alternative to traditional plastic bottles. They are also not included within Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme, meaning there is no deposit charge added to the purchase price.
Dermot Honan, speaking on behalf of HyGo Water and Borrisoleigh Bottling Limited, said:
“We are delighted to become the official hydration partner of Athletics Ireland for the next three years.
“Athletes understand better than anyone that you only get the best out of your body when you put the best into it. Hydration is an essential part of preparation, performance and recovery, and we believe HyGo is the ideal partner for athletes at every stage of their journey.
“HyGo is a high-quality Irish spring water brand with strong Irish roots and a clear commitment to active lifestyles. Athletics Ireland represents performance, ambition, discipline and participation, which makes this partnership a natural fit for us.
“We are also particularly excited to showcase our Tetra Pak format. It offers athletes, families and supporters a convenient and more sustainable way to stay hydrated, without the additional cost or inconvenience associated with the Deposit Return Scheme.”
The partnership will support Athletics Ireland’s extensive calendar of activity, from local clubs and community events to national competitions and high-performance athletics.
Athletics Ireland continues to play a central role in encouraging people of all ages and abilities to become more active, whether through running, walking, track and field, cross-country or club participation.
HyGo and Borrisoleigh Bottling Limited share that commitment to supporting healthier and more active communities.
The three-year partnership marks another important milestone in HyGo’s national growth and will help strengthen the brand’s connection with Irish consumers who value quality, performance and sustainability.
Further details on events, athlete collaborations and partnership activity will be announced over the coming months.
